APC - M3A3 Bradley by cr8g APC - M3A3 Bradley by cr8g
I decided to make my favourite APC ...

M3A3 Bradley with desert camo , but still without MG on top of that turret.

Program : Cinema 4D 11.5
Polygons : 39802
Objects : 533

If anyone need this model to some animation or something, so just PM me and i can give you C4D file

EDIT: 27/04/2011

I just add MG turret , and now this is final version.. 100%

Okay, not trying to burst your bubble, bub, 'cause it looks real good. I served on one of these lame @$$ things and I gotta make a couple of corrections. First off, there was no such thing as an M3 Bradley. It was the M3 Devers. The M2 Bradley, which was never an APC, it was an IFV or Infantry Fighting Vehicle, carried a heavily armed platoon of men inside it. Its job was to get them close to the line, drop'em off and haul @$$ back to a position of cover where it could support them with its 25mm chain gun and pair of TOW missiles. It was supposed to be The United States answer to the Soviet's BMP series of vehicles. The M3 Devers was supposed to be a scout, carrying just a couple of troopers and a pair of motorcycles. If either vehicle had delivered a third of what they promised, they would have been awesome. Instead, they were awful. A 'course, that was going on 20 years ago, and the new ones do look a bit different from the outside. The whole idea of the Devers bit the dust back when I was a trooper. I understand they aren't claiming the thing is amphibious anymore. That's good. 'Bout once or twice a year we had to erect the swim barriers on ours and try swimming those that could pass inspection across a shallow river. Most couldn't pass inspection due to what the summer heat did to the rubberized canvas. Those that could swim did so with the whole crew sitting on top in life jackets except crew members that couldn't swim. They watched from the bank.

As I understand it, at one point they decided that this 13' tall, 23 ton vehicle was declared "air deployable" by some pundit in Washington. Well, if they say it, some grunt in the field has to make it happen. They tried a pallet drop first, with a few parachutes and the same rig they drop the M551 Sheridan tank with. On the first attempt they discovered that the M2 Bardley has an impressive casualty radius as an air deployed weapon. Not to be deterred by what might have been just a random bit of foul luck, they repeated this exercise. The results were even more spectacular! I'm not sure how many times they kept at this, but I do know that an infantryman just keeps trying until he is ordered to stop. So then they went to try another method; they would do a roll-off. That is where the cargo plane comes in with its rear hatch already lowered and flying so low the hatch is nearly touching the ground. The object to be dropped is on a special pallet with wheels or rollers on it and a single cargo parachute. Once the plane flies over a line designating that it is in the drop-zone, the drop master activates the parachute on the pallet. The parachute opens behind the plane providing sufficient force to pull the pallet from the plane and it then rolls to a stop within the drop-zone. In theory, that is. It works for a great many other things, but not, I'm afraid, for M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

Well, I could bore you all night with tales about the Bradley and other weapon systems that did or did not provide the service they promised, but it is late. Your drawing is great!

ok, ok .. but dont know, i look it up and there are M3 series ( www.militaryfactory.com/armor/…, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3_Bradl… - yea i know..wiki right? :) )
Also i know its IFV, but APC is most suitable designation for ppl outside the military or something like that .. i suppose

I used Battlefiled: Bad Company 2 ingame screenshots and some google images as references, but i am well aware its not "accurate".
Also thank you for your introspection :) (i mean it) , good to have some info from the "inside"

Do these 3D rendering programs cost a lot of money? I`ve been thinking about getting one.

Nice render, by the way!
